Advice taking: Only take the advice of people you want to be like.

Advice giving: realize you can only tell people how to act more like yourself.

Or you can tell them to act less like yourself. Probably can’t tell them HOW to do that, though. If you could, that would be a problem. I think.

And there you have the the elusive third way!
